The deliberate development of students’ literacy skills is a shared responsibility across subject disciplines. This session highlights how teachers in Grades 7-12 can help their students construct meaning across the curriculum with a particular focus on the development and use of academic vocabulary. Teachers in all subject areas will leave with practical techniques and resources to apply in the classroom tomorrow.
